Paramore - Fences

This song is track 10 on the bands second studio album written by Williams, Farro, David Bendeth.The album was produced by David Bendeth. Lead vocalist Hayley Williams explained the album was called Riot! because, "For us, the title ‘Riot!’ literally means an unbridled outburst of emotions. When we were writing, it seemed like our thoughts and emotions were coming out so fast that we couldn't control them. It felt like there was a riot within us. So the album takes our passion to a new level; it’s just all raw energy."

Genre Development

The above video is an example of an old rock video. The video is of The Beatles - Help. This video and many others of the time only has one scene of the band perfoming live. There are meat shots used of the band, which is a similar convention of modern day videos.

In the modern day rock music videos have developed. The above music video is Simple Plan - You Love Is A Lie. Rock has developed and split in to sub-genres, the above video is an example of Pop-Rock. Similar to The Beatles video, this video contains scenes of the band performing the song and contains meat shots of the band members, however this video also contains scenes which carry a story line of the video, this is a common convention of modern day videos.
